Rabbi Janes works with the South Bucks Jewish Community, enriching Jewish life in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. He is available to support you with all your lifecycle events, personal learning and spiritual guidance. He has experience as a scholar in residence for communities and in running strategic community development work.

Ordained by the Leo Baeck College in 2006, with degrees in Psychology and Education, Hebrew and Jewish Studies. He has lived and studied at Cardiff University, Haifa University and the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem.

He has been Executive Director of the Lyons Learning Project and rabbi of West London Synagogue, the Liberal Jewish Synagogue and Finchley Progressive Synagogue.

Rabbi Janes is researching for a PhD. He is studying rabbinic literature and its representations of identity and culture. Neil is a lecturer at the Leo Baeck College teaching Talmud and Midrash and was formerly adjunct faculty of Hebrew College, Boston.
